Exciting Beginnings

Wow!!! It's amazing how God works. I can remember a few years ago at The Shadrix Homecoming at Mt. Holly Church of God, looking at these guys like they were super heroes. Now, here I find myself singing right beside them. I am excited about the things God is going to do with this ministry, and i'm glad I have the oppurtunity to be a part of it. 1/2 way there!

Can you believe it? We are half way through 2008. This year is flying by. I pray that each of you had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We did not sing this past weekend, but we were able to spend some quality time with our families. I have to admit that I grilled out more this weekend more than I have in the past year! Friday night we watched a fireworks show just near where Jill and I live. Saturday night we went to Dedra's neck of the woods and watched fireworks there. The celebration there was neat because they had funnel cakes! We stood in line for about 30 mins waiting on a funnel cake and it began to pour rain! I was determined to get a funnel cake, so Me, Jill and Dedra remained in the line in spite of the rain and finally enjoyed our funnel cake, even though we were soaking wet...

God is so amazing and all of us should be so thankful for the Independence that we have in our country but most of all the freedom that God has blessed us with in HIM.

There are times when God begins to work in our lives and we start to wonder what He is doing or we wonder why He is taking us in a certian direction, but when HIS glory is revealed through it all I truly stand amazed. I am a very blessed man and I always want to be found giving GOD the praise HE is so worthy of!

God is Good!

Hello everybody, God is so good! I don't think you and I could say it enough. He is so awesome and His saving grace is amazing. I want to thank God for the awesome time we had yesterday at Kansas Baptist. Yes, I will admit...I was roasting...lol. Despite the temperature outside we managed to have a awesome time and saw several people come to know Jesus as their personal savior! To God be the glory!

I know it's been awhile since I've written...but I wanted to let you guys know I am still here and excited about what God is doing in my life! I need your prayers, I will be having surgery soon and will be out for a little while. However I know God will have me up and ready to minister in song for Him soon after! Last night the minister spoke and said you can not be a christian and go through your walk with God without a storm. This is so true, I believe sometime we forget just how powerful our God truly is, until He speaks to those storms. Just as the song "That's Him" says... the wind tapped the wave on the shoulder and said....shhhh...that's Him. Everything must obey God!

I love you guys and hope to see you at a concert real soon! Be blessed and keep the faith!

Weekend Update

TST has been very busy for the past several weeks...Praise the Lord!! It seems hard to find the time to stop in and update y'all on what's going on. So, I wanted to stop in and let everyone know that we are doing great and things are going wonderfully well! TST had the opportunity to witness the salvation experience of one of our own dear family members last weekend and talk about becoming overflowed with joy!!! Our God is truly AMAZING!! After all that's our mission...to follow the call of Christ and reach the lost! Please continue to keep us in your prayers and we hope to see you soon!!! Love each one of you bunches!!!

TST: Busy...Busy...Busy

TST wants to take just a minute to let you guys know what's going on in our ministry. It seems like time passes off so quickly that we don't have the time to update you all often enough!!! TST has had the opportunity to see many souls saved at services over the past several weeks, and we are excited about what God is doing! Lives are being touched and we will be FOREVER grateful to our Lord for allowing us to be a part of that! Thank You!!!

TST would like to thank all of those who helped to make this year's Anniversary concert the most memorable to date!!! From start to finish, the evening was filled with the sweet presence of the Lord! The choirs and drama teams were absolutely AMAZING! The altars were filled throughout most of the service and we had the opportunity to see another soul added to the Kingdom of God! Praise the Lord! That is why we travel this great country of ours spreading this glorious gospel; in hopes that just one person can accept the call to Christ!

We love all of you and know that without God, first and foremost, and you that support this ministry, TST would not be where we are today! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts...

TST's 8th Annual Anniversary Concert

The time is almost here...The Shadrix Trio's 8th Annual Anniversary Concert will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Temple, GA. This year is bound to be an evening of amazing talent and Praise & Worship!! We have a very special "Choir and Drama Extravaganza" planned that will leave you captivated!

The Shadrix Trio enjoyed a great day of food and entertainment aboard the Chattanooga Riverboat on Saturday, April 5th. We had the opportunity to be part of the Lamp Music breakfast cruise, along with several other artists from our record label. The event was lots of fun, even though we had to roll out of bed @ 5:00 a.m.!! It was an awesome time of fellowship and singing with our friends and families! We will try to have some photos uploaded to the site over the next couple of days, so check back...

Just wanted to let everyone know that TST will be in the studio tomorrow to finish our new album! Many of you have asked when there will be a new recording available, from TST, so to answer that question...very, very SOON! TST is very happy and we look forward to our new release! Stay in touch...

"BIG JOHN GOLDIN"

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of "BIG JOHN GOLDIN" of Bremen, GA. John Goldin passed away suddenly on March 4, 2008. Big John certianly was a man of God that was never afraid to stand for Christ. He was always an encouragement to me and the ministry of The Shadrix Trio. Please remember his family in your prayers at this difficult time in their lives.
